Travel Advisor Comparison: Family All Inclusive Vacation in Cancun

We recently took a vacation to Mexico as a family of 6 with ages from 10 to mid 50’s, so we wanted an all inclusive experience so where we could budget easily.

What we wanted in this vacation - We like the beach, good pools, peaceful settings, and good food and drinks.  We do some like adventure, but this time we needed to prioritize R&R.

What we picked - we decided to try two locations - the first three nights at a more remote option with Finest Playa Mujeres and the last three nights at a resort in the hotel zone, Hyatt Ziva.

Finest Playa Mujeres - we loved the location!  The property was lush and it was quiet and relaxing.  We stayed in a Club room and were pleased with the concierge and LOVED the included hydrotherapy and the included Bali beds on the beach.  The rooms were spacious and huge!!  The food was mostly good, but room service was a miss. My son adored Insieme, the Italian restaurant.  He still asks to go back! I loved walking along the beach - you could go quite a ways in either direction.  So beautiful and relaxing.  They also made a mean spicy margarita!

Hyatt Ziva - you cannot image water more gorgeous.  The varied colors of vibrant blue were out of this world.  I couldn’t stop staring. We picked club level rooms here as well, and the staff was phenomenal.  The rooms were nice, but more like normal hotel rooms, except my husband and brother got a corner room, which made it feel like almost being on a cruise ship.  Crazy views!  The Club food was delicious - chips and guac to die for - and everything was fresh and delish!  There were less inclusions at this resort - like our Bali Beds were an extra fee - but worth it. They came with complementary facials and butlers to bring food/drinks/anything you “need”.  The property is on a peninsula and is so stunning at every angle.  We did walk down the beach a bit, but after leaving property it was a public beach and quite crowded.  We could have walked further but headed back to the property.

I am so glad we experienced both of these truly special locations - I might give a slight edge to Finest for this particular trip, but it’s a close race for sure!
